You Are The Leader Of The Team

First of all, I would like to wish you incredible Rare mothers a Happy Mother’s Day! You are doing a phenomenal job caring for your Rare child or children and managing your household. I invite you to close your eyes and take a moment to breathe and receive this. You deserve to be acknowledged. I hope you can join us in one of our workshops soon.💜

Team Play

This week in our Rare Mothers in Relationship Workshop we explored Team Play and what it is that makes a good team player. One of the juiciest things that came up was around being the leader of your family/team. Several of our participants were feeling the weight of being the leader of their team.

Being the leader of your family is a big responsibility. It means you trust yourself enough to stand tall and play your role. It can be easy to feel unprepared or unqualified to lead your family and manage your child’s care.

Acknowledge Yourself

It’s important to recognize what you are doing well. One mother who had been doubting herself realized that she is qualified to manage her children’s care and that they haven’t missed any doctors appointments, are getting their labs done and medications refilled on time. Self-acknowledgement helps you trust your reality.

A Practice for You to Do Twice a Day

Focus on what you are doing well as the leader of your team. Slow down and receive what you are doing. Pause and feel it in your body. Cheer yourself on aloud as you go. Give yourself the recognition you seek. Self-acknowledgement is incredibly nourishing.

Taking time to recognize that you are progressing and that you don’t have to be perfect is key.

Acknowledge what you are doing well and express your gratitude to your partner and care team.

Coming Up This Week: Appreciation Begins with You

As a Rare Mother, you experience many trials and also moments of profound gratitude. When you focus on being grateful and expressing your appreciation, your relationships will thrive. And, as we know, the primary relationship you have is with yourself. Taking moments to appreciate and acknowledge yourself is essential. When you do, it becomes natural  to show gratitude to those around you.  Come and join us to learn some simple appreciation practices and to receive appreciation for who you are.

 Join us

Our next meeting is Tuesday at 10 AM PST. We would love to have you there. Being together in this way is an opportunity for you to share your heart and have authentic connections with other Rare mothers.

Come as you are. Your presence is a contribution.
