Hours: 10-20 hours per week - 1-2 set meetings, otherwise schedule is flexible

Position Description:

  • The community manager is responsible for running and promoting ANGEL AID’s wellness programs, as well as helping to manage and nurture our online community on Mighty Networks.

  • Our community manager will be responsible for hosting our weekly and monthly support group sessions, welcome new members and make sure they are feeling supported and finding appropriate resources, and keeping up on our community happenings.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Hosting weekly small support group calls on Tuesdays, Thursdays at 10 am PST 

  • Hosting monthly small support group call at 6 pm PST 

  • Recording attendance and taking notes for quote cards to be used on social media and other promotions

  • Event planning, community management, networking with practitioners

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Event planning, including: recruiting participants, creating the necessary event pages on the website, Google calendars, Zoom, Facebook, Global Genes, and Mighty Networks

  • Familiarity with online platforms and willingness to learn everything about Mighty Networks in order to create events and provide video and educational content

  • Community management, including handling sensitive issues or subject areas with discretion and compassion

  • Establishing short- and long- range objectives around growing event attendance

  • Network and expand the Health and Wellness Practitioner Network, set expectation for practitioners, and support them with any technical or logistical issues

  • Schedule and promote unique monthly events, as well as our regular recurring workshops

  • Communicate community needs with practitioners

  • Establish and maintain quarterly syllabus for each practitioner

  • Ensure blogs are written by each practitioner

  • Set up recurring Zoom events and manage Google calendar invites quarterly

  • Work with communications manager to write a weekly email newsletter highlighting upcoming events, recapping weekly groups. Help promote bi-annual ANGEL AID months-long virtual retreats.

  • Create social media copy and graphics to promote an ANGEL AID event each week

  • Familiarity with Zoom, social media, Canva, and Google Suites a plus

  • Overseeing Volunteer Community Angels

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, marketing, or communications.

  • Previous experience in event planning, community management, creative writing, or graphic design is encouraged.

  • Familiarity with Zoom, social media, Canva, Google Suites, Squarespace and Mailchimp is a plus.

Compensation: Commensurate salary based upon demonstrated experience and qualifications.
