Who Am I?

A Graphic Novel Workshop for Rare Young Adults

Are you a Rare Young Adult interested in creative storytelling?

In this virtual program, Young Adults will learn the art of animation, characters and settings from professionals and artists-in-training at CreativeCave.

Participants will learn how to use a simple narrative structure to bring their Rare archetypes and alter-egos to life. Students will work together to weave elements of their individual story/character into a group-sourced graphic novella. Designed to foster self-awareness and a sense of connection, their characters and the story will be illustrated with the team from CreativeCave.

Once the group-sourced graphic novella is complete, they will learn binding techniques to print-at-home and also share out digitally -- just in time for the Holidays.

Master the necessary skills and tools needed to create your own story with rare disease ~ including characters, drawings, environments, dialogue and of course jokes!

During this wellness course, you will draw your own cartoon characters and apply character design and visual storytelling techniques with experts. Each participant will create and design their own hardcover graphic novella booklet that showcases your story with rare disease. Participants get to keep and print more of their booklets at home, as well as share through digital channels just in time for holiday gifts.

Join us during this fun adventure of creativity and self discovery! You don’t need any previous experience or skill in drawing or designing. You just need to show up with a good, positive attitude and a desire to learn and unlock your creative spirit.
