Are your friends Good friends?
Padma Gordon
What are the qualities of a good friend? What does it mean to be a friend to yourself? These are some of the questions we contemplated in our Rare Family Dynamics group this week.
Just Say Yes To Boundaries
Padma Gordon
At times it's useful to set internal boundaries while at others one needs to set external ones. Internal boundaries include things like going to bed earlier, the food you eat and how are you talk to yourself.
Micro-Habits
Pamella Russell
We tend to believe we’ll be happy when certain conditions are met or when we’ve achieved this or that… but that’s a common myth. We don’t have to hope that we’ll feel better someday.
Golden Nectar of Acceptance
Padma Gordon
Our discussion this week in the Rare Family Dynamics group focused on how to accept what is. This is often easier said than done. We talked about what supports you to open your heart and accept things as they are, and what gets in the way of this.
Strong & Vulnerable
Padma Gordon
We asked some important questions in our Rare Family Dynamics session this week. Where do you source your strength? Do you allow yourself to be vulnerable? What makes you feel vulnerable? Vulnerability takes many shapes and forms.
Extending Grace
Pamela Russell
Let’s just be honest. When we feel like others don’t deserve grace, showing it can be nearly impossible. Yet at some other times, it feels like a fairly simple task that is natural and easy… usually when others have been kind to us; of course, it’s simple to just reciprocate that kindness. The grace I’m talking about is “unmerited favor”.
Safety Amidst the Chaos
Padma Gordon
It is challenging to feel safe in a world with so many unknowns. The key is to trust yourself and stay present in your body. The body will support you to be grounded in the moment.
Happiness vs Joy
Pamela Russell
In speaking with the Rare Mom’s today in our Thursday group, there were beautiful thoughts around when we feel the most joy. Being in the sunshine, hearing our child’s belly laugh, being out in nature… all of these are fantastic joyful moments! Then it was brought up that there is a difference between Joy and Happiness, and, what is that difference?
Believing In Yourself
Pamela Russell
Your authentic self is who you really are deep down. The part of you that doesn’t care what others think. Learning how to be your authentic self is an essential part of building meaningful relationships, and starts with yourself. Authenticity happens when your words, actions, and behaviors consistently match your core identity.
