My mother is the rarest of all mothers.
Truly. Phyllis Barrett Reusche is the original Rare Mother™. And yes, please do notice the trademark as she is my mother, but this quiet woman has sparked a movement.

Enjoy The Little Things

Self-care is always a topic in our rare mothers community. But there’s a lot of different types of self-care. One important question is, “what is the difference between the self-care you are forced to give yourself when your body is down, requiring rest and recuperation, from the self-care you choose to give yourself to maintain your needs, even though you might feel fine?”

Padma Gordon

Tend to yourself First
Padma Gordon
This week in our Rare Mothers in Relationship Workshop we looked at attachment styles or emotional relating styles. We each have different needs based on how we were loved during the first 18 months of life. We contemplated what it is that allows us to feel held and loved in our partnership. We looked at some things you can do to tend to the connection with your partner.
Valuable Practices For Living
Padma Gordon
We began a new series of Rare Mothers in Relationship this past week and a wonderful group of women has gathered. We took time to share our intentions for this new beginning and so many great things came up! If these are of interest to you, please join us.
Spark One Another’s Brilliance
Padma Gordon
Throughout the journey, we shared our hearts and forged lasting relationships with each other. We had incredible dialogues, the kind that happen in a space where you know you can trust each other. Wisdom and tenderness consistently poured forth while laughter, tears and compassion were a constant. We raised each other up and saw one another’s light.
Owning Who you Are
Padma Gordon
Evolution includes surrender and invites you to let life teach you what it wants to teach you and shape you into the person that you are meant to be. It also asks you to be compassionate with yourself and to let yourself be as you are.
