Do you have eight seconds to connect to yourself? Sometimes it may not feel like it and this is all it takes. Imagine you are sitting in your car at a stoplight. Instead of feeling frustrated that you missed the green light, you can use the time to settle down and breathe for eight seconds, and another eight seconds, until the light turns green.

What does it take to be a rare mom? The answer that came out today in our journaling workshop, without question, was backbone. This community finds the strength to hold it together to move things forward on behalf of our child/children even when it can be unbelievably painful.

Multitasking can become a habit. Unfortunately, it’s a habit that separates us from the moment and hinders our ability to be fully present.
